It's been a while since I posted something... but then, it's also been a while since I've had time to surf the net. Here are some posts that I found interesting and you might as well:
iLibrarian posted a link to 7 things you should know about Flickr.
Collegedegree.com has a list of 25 useful social networking tools for librarians (We will explore most, if not all, of these sites).
While you're at it, check out this Business Week article entitled Social Media will Change Your Business. This article suggests that the businesses (shall we insert libraries here?) that put off blogging will fall short to their competitors who have already established blogs. One of the oft-cited and oft-applauded blogs also receives mention in this article -- General Motors vice chairman, Bob Lutz, has a blog entitled Fastlane.
Here's yet another post about Twitter (this one is from Infodoodads and suggests that most of us have been microblogging for a while without realizing it!?)
Anyone curious about how social networking could be used in marketing our library. Check out this post from Stephen's Lighthouse. Please note: you will have to download the .pdf document in his post.
